What a lifetime
window tint warranty actually covers.

Every window tint shop in Fallon and Northern Nevada says "lifetime warranty." The difference is what that actually means. At High Desert Tint, our Premium Carbon and Ultimate Ceramic films include a lifetime warranty covering both the film and our installation for as long as you own the vehicle. While many shops warranties rely solely on the manufacturers claim process, which can be confusing and time consuming, our film and installation are warrantied by both the film manufacturer and our own lifetime warranty.

What's covered

  • Bubbling. Adhesive failure, anywhere on the glass.
  • Peeling. Edges lifting, corners curling, film separating from glass.
  • Delamination. The film layers separating from each other.
  • Color shift. Purpling, bluing, fading, or browning.
  • Cracking. Film cracking in cold weather or over time.
  • Installation defects. Anything we did wrong during install — covered forever.

What's NOT covered

  • Damage from rock chips, accidents, or broken glass
  • Damage from aftermarket window cleaners with ammonia
  • Damage from stickers, decals, or suction-cup mounts placed on the tint
  • Damage caused by rolling windows down within 72 hours of install (before cure)
  • Transfer to a new owner — warranty stays with the original buyer

Which tiers include lifetime

  • Essential Carbon: 2-year warranty
  • Premium Carbon: Lifetime film + lifetime installation
  • Ultimate Ceramic: Lifetime film + lifetime installation

How to claim it

  1. Call or text — describe the issue (a photo helps).
  2. We schedule you in, usually within a week.
  3. We remove the affected film and reinstall fresh film, same tier, same shade.
  4. You drive off. No invoice, no deductible, no "diagnostic fee."

Why the $99 shop can't match this

A lifetime warranty only works if the shop is still around to honor it, and only pencils out if the film is high enough quality that claims are rare. Entry-level dyed film has a much shorter lifespan than premium carbon or ceramic films, especially in Nevada's intense sun, typically failing after 2–4 years. That's why "lifetime" claims on bottom-tier film usually come with a stack of exclusions that make them worthless.

Tint it once. Done.

Pick Premium Carbon or Ultimate Ceramic and the film is covered for as long as you own the vehicle. That's the whole pitch.
